Dr. Mamta Shankar is a distinguished physiotherapy educator, researcher, and academic leader with extensive experience in sports physiotherapy, rehabilitation sciences, and higher education. Recognized for her excellence in clinical practice, teaching, and research, she has played a significant role in advancing physiotherapy education while fostering innovation in rehabilitation and healthcare technology.

A graduate of the Institute of Physiotherapy and Hospital Services (IPH), University of Delhi, and a First Class Honours postgraduate in Sports Physiotherapy from Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar, Dr. Shankar has further enhanced her expertise with specialized training in ACTERA Therapy, Denmark. Her strong academic foundation, combined with international teaching experience, enables her to bridge clinical excellence with evidence-based education.

Dr. Shankar has held several prestigious academic leadership positions, including serving as a Lecturer at Gulf Medical University, UAE. She was instrumental in establishing the Department of Physiotherapy at K.R. Mangalam University, Gurugram, and currently serves as the Head of the School of Physiotherapy & Rehabilitation Sciences, where she leads academic excellence, research initiatives, and curriculum development.

An accomplished researcher and innovator, Dr. Shankar has authored and co-authored numerous national and international scientific publications and is a patent holder for innovative wearable healthcare and rehabilitation devices, reflecting her commitment to advancing technology-driven patient care and rehabilitation solutions.
